Jean-Marc has broad experience spanning over 30 years of experience in finance, marketing and new business development experience in the retail, financial services and payments space. His diverse background has been realized through the progressive positions he has held at Infinia SNS, Eko-Pay Inc., Scotiabank and Sears Canada. Jean-Marc has successfully recommended and implemented many large-scale projects, including; loyalty programs, the creation of Sears Canada Bank, the conversion of Sears’ 12 million credit cards portfolio from a legacy credit billing platform to the TSYS credit card management system, the launch and management of the Sears MasterCard portfolio and the creation of the Sears Club Partners Program (6 million active members). As a Scotiabank’s expatriate, he has built out from scratch an entirely new unsecured lending and payments business for Thanachart Bank, an affiliate of Scotiabank in Thailand, creating a portfolio of close to 2 million payments cards and over 10,000 merchants.
During the past 5 years, Jean-Marc has successfully transitioned from a role in the corporate world to one as an entrepreneur, leveraging his past success due, in part, to his ability to recognize and understand business and customers’ needs, build rapport with his colleagues, continuously develop business partnerships and deliver superior bottom line results.
Jean-Marc is a values-driven Sales and Marketing leader with proven ability to build high performance teams and develop deep and sustainable client relationships in both Canada and Southeast Asia where he has been active since 2007. He is now actively engaged in his consultancy practice with several clients in Canada, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore offering services ranging from sourcing funding and investments, to business expansion in South East Asia leveraging his experience and extensive global networks.
